Just wanted your guys opinion on the 1st leg matches. In my opinion i feel they have been the best in many a year. Inter getting creamed by Schalke. Barca as usual, real thrashing spurs and man utd winning at the bridge. 18 goals in 4 quarter-final matches is a record aswell.

By the way for all the people who have no clue what i just said its football(soccer).

I'm shocked that Inter lost so handily. I didn't think they've been in the top 3 or 4 the past few years (despite their winning it all) but to loose like that to Schalke is pretty embarrassing.

    ...and Hala Mardrid

Haven't had a chance to watch highlights yet, I've been in class and I have a meeting to go to shortly, but I'm looking forward to catching up

Saw parts of the Barcelona - Shacktar (damn, spelling =/) game yesterday, and 5-1 was too much. Barcelona had all the luck, if you saw the chances Donetsk had.

The other game was pretty good, I didn't expect too much of it, looking at Man U.'s matches lately.

I do think it's a real shame it's pretty much over for the Spurs already. I really would've liked to see them play against Barcelona and their defense.

I'm hoping for United to win, I've had about enough of Barcelona and its arrogance and theatre. I can see them winning as well, although I'm not sure if the FIFA'll like that...

    agree with you.
    spanish clowns.
But I dont like the play of both team. The play of Utd seems to me too acaedmic. And game of Barca is too slow and sleep making.
For me the final of Europe League will be more interesting then final of CL.

Hmm, well, the Europa League final is between two Portuguese clubs, one of which won the championship with about a 20 point lead, I believe. I think it'll be a walk in the park for Porto...

And I really would've liked to see the Spurs play Barcelona. Bale and Lennon versus Dani Alves and Maxwell...oh boy. Still, with the players they have, and the fact that Ferguson keeps shuffling around the players, I think United is doing fantastically. They're very stable and consistent, with players that aren't magnificent stars, with Rooney, Van der Sar and Giggs as exceptions.

Doesn't matter, Barca will just dive their way to the title...

Yep, that's why I hope there'll be a Portuguese referee on the match, they tend to punish every dive with a card.

It's a shame, they're still the class of world football, but they definitely get quite a bit of help from the regs

Yeah, and then they call out Mourinho for stating the obvious, even though they always disrespect everyone in the press themselves...

Well that was a shame, losing by what are basically defending mistakes, especially the last goal.
And I think I'll watch Barcelona games without sound now, the commentary is so wrong and biased it's not funny anymore.

The 2 legs against Inter was the highlight of my entire time as a spurs fan. That's not that impressive considering I have only watched football for about 2 years but it was absolutely brilliant! shame we're only in Europa league this season but we'll be back in the biggest club competition in the world soon enough.

Barcelona deserved to win it in the end of the day. I'm a Chelsea fan, this year went bad again. After that, i started supporting Real Madrid to win the trophy, but they got destroyed by Barcelona.
