I wouldn't call it "westernisation" it's more like China is becoming more materialistic at a rate that morality can't keep up.

That makes no sense. The Chinese have always had a capitalistic kind of economy, with the exception of during the iron fist days of the CCP. The culture is not unaccostomed to capitalism. Not even the Communists could manage changing that in the brief years of pure pushing for Communism. It is as ethical as most know it to have been. If anything, it has obtained more morals, not lost any.

And if I am not mistaken, you are judging 'morals' by the Western standard.

There is a universal modern standard now? Since when and what does it entail?

And besides, I'm pretty sure that they kill the child, not leave it on the streets.

And that is an economics problem, what causes that. It CAN be mended, but as it is, more people are concerned about money than ethics. Provide a guarentee of enough cost-efficient food, and I can guarentee you that the CCP would revoke the OCP in a heartbeat and the people would not 'leave a baby to die on the streets'. Its not a matter of culture, it is a matter of force of hand. The families simply don't have the means to support the children.
BTW: Last I checked [which, admittably was some time ago], the CCP has an excellent state-run orphanage system, much better than other countries of its caliber.

I'll "demondaze" the Chinese all I want, I mean the Chinese aren't usually allowed to use ultrasound machines anymore because if they find out it's a girl it's usually aborted. Currently about 10% of the female population is not existent that will cause problems down the road.

I was specifically referring to the idea that you can judge the entire Chinese moral code on some asshats leaving a kid in the street. Especially considering some of horrible shit that's been done to kids here in the States, and everywhere else for that matter....

Top Ten Ways To Stop Running Over That Little Chinese Girl.
    1) When you go out, make a plan not to run over a small Chinese girl. Stick to that plan.
    2) If you feel like you're going to run over a small Chinese girl, pull over (NOT on top of a small Chinese girl) and wait until the urge passes.
    3) Lots of small Chinese girls covering the road? Consider taking a different road.
    4) Before you head out to run over small Chinese girls, be sure to tell any small Chinese girls you encounter that you plan to run them over at least once, thus giving them a chance to avoid you in the road.
    5) Remember, small Chinese girls may end up in your path at any time. Be resolute in your vow not to run them over
    6) If you see others running over small Chinese girls, remind yourself that you are better and stronger than that.
    7) When the urge strikes, have a cool beverage or go for a walk. Remind yourself of all the things you enjoy about not running over small Chinese girls.
    8) Write down a list of things you would prefer to do, rather than run over a small Chinese girl.
    9) Ask a small Chinese girl how she would feel if you ran her over. The answer might surprise you!
    10) If you do go out and run over a small Chinese girl, don't beat yourself up; take a deep breath, and try twice as hard next time!
Remember, only YOU can stop yourself from running over small Chinese girls!

The Chinese just aren't good drivers, it's part of their culture and a few girls may suffer because of that.

So the actions of 18 people out of billions are considered the norm huh?

Fuck it, I ain't arguing with some supremacist. Clearly those other Chinese are just an inferior people compared to the great Indochinese people of Singapore.

My race is Chinese, nationality is Singaporean. 3rd generation Singaporean my Grandfather was from mainland China. Don't get me wrong Chinese morals should be just as the same as everywhere because we are human. It's just different than what it used to be.

    1. Like Demondaze pointed out: you cannot judge the entirety of the Chinese race by the actions of a handful, 18 or not.

    2. It IS a political and economic as well as social problem. The OCP prevents the families from having more than one child [most, there are exceptions] or else pay a fine for the additional children. This is a policy because of the shortage of reliable food sources to feed everyone. The families additionally cannot pay the fine and cannot pay for the food. Thus, due to the culture's preference for boys over girls, the girls are SOMETIMES abandoned or killed.

If a solid source of enough food can be found and diverted to China and the Chinese families make more money [which is already happening anyways], the CCP would overturn the OCP in a heartbeat. It was never that they liked it, they just knew that under the circumstances, it was necessary. The act of leaving the children to die or killing them is as hated in Chinese culture as any other. Its not as if before the OCP, there was a massive unbalence in the gender ratio due to killing the girls.

As China is improving, this will become a non-issue in the future. The food sources are becoming more and more avalible and the families are earning more and having more children as they pay the fine. In fact, the OCP isn't anywhere near as imposed as it once was. Within the next few years, the CCP may revoke it entirely. And the culture will go back to the large families that it once was.
