And I love both of them, but if the argument against Cod is that it's all the same game, why isn't that standard applied to other games? I can't find it but one of my favorite reddit memes basically had a picture of mw3 and said "rages over mw3 being a rehash of mw2" and next to it a picture of bf3 "why isn't bf3 more like bf2"

It is, but Cod is suffering the most of it because fanboys seem to ignore it. Besides, when we are talking about Fallots, FNV has unrivaled amounts of content, problem being that it (technicaly) could have achieved with mods. FNV is a spin off btw. As what comes to memes I cant comment, because I have not played BF3 but I can sort of agree in case of recon class. They dont have gillies no more and that must suck. Bf series did in the end innovate a hell of a lot more and the meme is quite far from the truth. @Lighthouse FPSs are meant to be played on PC. You don't get same speeds nor accuracy with controller. Just take a moment to get used to it and you will never look back.

If only my hands didn't shake while playing with a mouse, but that's not the case and some of the reason why I buy FPSs for PS3.
Excuse me, but it took decade to post FPS games on consoles, because of the shit controller. What you think is irrelevant, facts are all that matters. Nor can you disqualify obvious superiority of the mouse and a keyboard, only because of your disabilities. He clearly stated, that he cant use mouse and keyboard. What's there more to add? Because one cannot use certain tool, does not make tool in question bad. In this case it cannot be other than fault of his own, as mouse and keyboard has been proven to work buhzillion times.
I'll say that the first real fps was Wolfenstein 3d (92) and the first really big console fps was goldeneye (97) so tech wsan't really as far behind as you'd think.
Yup... N64... Basically pc gaming was bigger in general until really the xbox/ps2 and halo etc. There were still console entrants like resident evil or silent hill, but the games just weren't really being produced until that generation of consoles
Half a decade, but which one was bigger? PC had Doom, Quake etc. With online multiplayer. What big console FPS had multiplayer?
Neither is it his fault that he has a disability. Plus, he didn't state at all that he thinks the mouse is bad. He even says that he loves PC gaming except for FPS's.
Really none of the consoles of that era had lan or multiplayer capabilities beyond split screen though. Goldeneye was big for split screening, but it wasn't really until Halo that console players were even given that option
1. I'm not going to lie, the PC is an amazing gaming machine. But its just too akward to move around and play an FPS Game. And just because the controls for PC FPS's are weird since I have been using the Console system for almost 4 years now. 2. Also I didnt bring up consoles at all. This thread was made for explaing that COD isnt that bad as people make it sound. You have to admit COD fans make BF sound worse than it is also.
