Ok i do one specialy for Maddog since he seems to like us desperatly guessing at utterly destroyed tanks. a little hint if you need it [spoiler:2cq3rlvw]this picture was taken this year[/spoiler:2cq3rlvw]
Libya would be a good place to place that wreck, its soviet manufacture. So its either a t-72, t-62 or t-54/55 or some other cold war t. I think its a t-72.
And they're neither T-62 or T54/55 because they lack the right number of track wheels or side armour. And the T-80 hasn't been transported there. And either pushed out of the way and flipped during that, or the munition inside was set of during it's destruction and caused a huge explosion flipping it over.
Of course it is lybia and thats just how ghadaffi forces role! haha j/k The source claimed it is a t55 but thats wrong it is in fact a t-72. The gun seams so small because half of it is stuck in the sand and the turret is utterly crushed. This photo was taken just outside of Benghazi. It is a varified kill by a Dessault Raffale (french air craft) the tank got hit by a anti tank missile. the blast was so powerfull that it flipped the tank over. I thought it is a entertaining picture and it shows what modern weapons do to old hardwear.
lol, for a moment i was gonna guess a version of the t 65. since you like destroyed stuffe, heres something much bigger, albeit you cant see it. where was it and when? what is it (i.e. name)? and how was it destroyed? tell me if you want clues, its not too hard though. [attachment=0:4bdl7f1i]blabla cant read it lol.jpg[/attachment:4bdl7f1i] P.S. i like how the person who started this thread didnt do anything else on the forums except that one opening post.
The SS robert rowan is destroyed after it is hit by a german aircraft during the allies invasion of Sicily.
yes, did you just know the pic or find out? sure, that means joske has the floor. However wel say that if the person that got it right dosent make another one in the same day then someone else can. P.S. this is my favorite thread, i think maddog joske and me are the most active ones on it too.
I knew it was from some Allied landing in Italy, and then off course wikipedia is a big help. Which tank is this and from what tank was it built? [spoiler:26hrjzrg][/spoiler:26hrjzrg] Pic was very large and stretching the page so I put it in spoiler tags. -Chelsea
