They've only been in office for a week why the fuck cant you just sit back and wait for the tribune to actually flesh itself out before you rant on how bad things are. I swear you act exactly like the people who complained that obama wasnt doing enough to fix the economy the month he took office.

If you knew how to fucking read instead of just rage like an idiot, you would realize that I'm not asking for the impeachment of the current tribunes. It's a fucking precautionary measure. And you don't even want any reform. Instead of making idiotic and poorly composed rage posts that exhibit your lack of ability to process information and understand it, why don't you get used to the fact that there will be change. Embrace it. (or vote JayJay)

You guys need to take it down about nine notches. This isn't that big of a deal. Debate is OK, but this isn't worth raging over.

He can't even read the thread or apparently even the first post. he's spreading misinformation about me because he fails to understand what I'm proposing and why I'm proposing it.

I agree with you on the impeachment, and I understand your argument. But lets not further endanger a already shaky cause by stooping to swearing and heated arguments. Don't worry, our forum is a relatively intelligent bunch. When there is misinformation it won't spread far.

    1. Im not raging so why dont you take a chill pill and sit back for a sec
    2. The fact that it seems half of your reply to my "rage post" is an insult to a user which is against the rules I dont half want to reply to this since I believe its not going to get me anywhere

    3. From this post I gather that this is partially about the current tribunes
    4. As I stated above there isnt much they can really abuse anyway
    5. If we pass an impeachment law into place its going to be abused by people who dont like certain tribunes or over silly thing
    6. Im not against reform im just saying we dont need to take reform to the extreme
    7. While were on the topic of raging I think the fact you even replied in the way you did is the whole reason why im against this. I dont want someone who cant seem to take things in a calm manner or stop insulting other members and breaking the rules to be the person that is supposed to represent the "people"
    8. Once again this is a forum, not a government so you need to stop treating it as such
    9. I trust the mods to realise when a tribune isnt doing anything or ignoring us or atleast the forum base to complain enough that someone has to do something.
    10. Hey, instead of making idiotic and poorly composed rage posts that exhibit your lack of ability to process information and understand it, why dont you put some faith in the people we all voted into office and stop complaining.

I think this would be a nice card to have, given, we need it be really hard to do, and not to be taken lightly, because it is a very safe bet that this will be one of the targets for people who easily aggravated.
I doubt it will ever be used unless we hit a perfect storm with lying extremist nutcases in power and the mods and Stalin all in a deep synchronized coma. But hey, sometimes shit happens.

Nice to have, we probably won't need it. It's like nukes or keeping a gun in your house.

Also, people need to stop assuming shit. Remember, when you assume, you make an ass out of u and me.

Hit the nail on the head. We just have to make it sufficiently hard to do, that is the key.

If 99.9% of a significant sample of users feel that a tribune is acting out of line, then they can impeach them. Problem solved, you can thank me later but I want my money now.

What's the worst that can happen If we can't impeach the tribune I think you would have something inmind. Ripple of evil is something Lewis black would do in his show Root of all Evil, this resulted is a rediculios doomsday senario

It's precautionary. The worst they could do is pass legislature that goes against the will of the people and would be very difficult to repeal. If they consistently ignored us, and left us uninformed, they need to go.

Let's change the system so it's easier to repeal laws and get some sort of watchdog. If a tribune was unpopular he would know so quickly and get flooded with hate mail non stop, he would get shut out of the forums by everyone here- that's the deterrent.

How is it difficult to repeal? If it's really so undesirable that people are going to kick Joe Tribune out of office for it then I should think that their successor will make it a platform point to reverse the change...

In two months, when their term is up. You would have us in mob rule in a second otherwise.
