    Jack Layton the leader of the NDP and official opposition has sadly died of cancer. I hope the NDP can recover from this and can still be a strong party.

    Well that's sad to hear. I know I for one was expecting him to recover at some point, but then being in the UK, I don't really follow Canada too closely. It's always the people that deserve it least...

    Wait.. speaking of this... Whats gonna be the future for the NDP... like with Jack gone whos gonna be a charismatic leader that can lead the NDP?? I know for a fact that in Quebec the people there only know the NDP because of Layton so..... Whats next for them?

    Charismatic are you fuckin kidding me? This guy was the driest speaker I've ever experienced! He just rambled the same shit about helpin' Canadian families over and over again. What do you mean only "know" the NDP? They have access to mass media you know the french aren't a bunch of cave men who need a prophet to enlighten them.

    Yup.. theyre screwed if they dont find a leader thats as great as Jack.. Like a couple of years ago when i wasnt that interested in politics when they said NDP, one person always went to my mind.. Jack Layton...
    plus hes been the face of the party pretty much right?

    I don't agree with state owned anything except for hospitals, police stations and schools. Oh, I guess they can have libraries too.
