    I'm reasonably certain Kent was a peaceful protest.

    For the record I would rather him get life under house arrest or something. In my estimation he did commit crimes against humanity, but not to the extent to justify an execution.

    maybe becuase i haven't ruled over a nation for 42 years and killed unarmed protesters and refused to leave power even after it became clear that i wasn't going to win a civil war i started, that would maybe be a bit of a difference

    Students were burning buildings, sabotaging firemen from putting out the fires, throwing rocks and tear gas canisters at the police/guard. I'm not saying that the shooting wasn't wrong, because it was, but that wasn't a peaceful protest.

    A peaceful protest to me is one that exercises non-violence, even in the face of violence from the state(ie. the Selma to Montgomery marches by MLK Jr.).
