The new government is going to be the same as the last. The National Council is just going to turn into a military Junta. Very, Very, Very, Very, Very little chance that they will become anything NEAR a democracy.

You just need more.... Periods. And commas.

You can't always talk in a long sentence that just keeps going on and on without stopping and without putting in a period it makes it very hard to read and very monotonous.

"No, that is what the groups want under Gaddafi. They had no say and their customs were oppressed, but the new government will give them say. That is what they need. It is pessimism that will fail anything you have to be optimistic or nothing will work(wrong word choice or word placement here. I don't understand). What is wrong with my grammar I see nothing wrong with and others can attest to that."

Better? You use too many run on sentences, etc.

You don't think another Strong Man like entity won't be required to restore order? That this government of the people will manifest itself out of good will and song? No, guns are present, radically opposing groups that no longer share a common goal are present, chaos and the force required to control it are imminent.

Pessimism? Optimism? Try Realism. Being realistic is how you get shit done, because realism requires you to actually think about cause, effect, and solution rather than just wishing for rainbows

That's wishful thinking. The goal of many revolutions has been to create a republic. Example, Russian Revolution, French revolution...

Last time I checked, France was ruled by Napoleon, then by kings, then by a republic.

No. There was a series of public executions and then it became a militaristic empire. The Republic came about after Europe united to put an end to that shit.

The only exception to the "Violent Revolutions lead to Violent Governments" rule is America.

No idea what that is, but on reflection there most likely have been other militant revolutions that have had positive results; however I don't see that happening for Libya. Not with armed factions that no longer share common goals hanging about.

I've been thinking about the subject of revolutions... and I think it's actually harder to start a revolution in a one party state than in states with personal rule like Gaddafi, Ben Ali etc. Anyone else agree with this?

I agree. You mean it's a lot harder to start a revolution in a country like Cuba or China than Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, etc?
