Either way they are still demanding oil just a couple of days after the killing of Gaddafi. Just because I gave a biased news source(really what isn't?) doesn't nullify what I said about Libya and how the shits has hit the fan and is going to keep hitting the fan. Thanks however for bringing me to the attention of how biased RT can be. Is there any news sources out there that are not as biased? If so that would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't read the story, but I felt a need to post this - Every news source is biased, and has it's own agenda. Whether Left-wing or Right-wing.
And also, every Human is Brainwashed. Whether it is wrong or not depends on if you received the same Brainwashing.

Nonsense. We can all have clear minds, it's what separates the intelligent, the successful, and powerful from the rest of the masses. Just a matter of seeing logic, having a sense of clarity, rather than be blinded by public opinion and sensationalism. It is those people who can tell you if something is right or wrong, and they have earned that right.

Even free of public opinion and sensationalism, a person is still brainwashed. Let's say you are talking to a good friend who has just divorced. He tells you that his wife is a horrible person, who cheated on him with multiple people. This may be true, but he will likely fail to mention the wrongs he committed unto her. You are very likely to believe your friend, and if you did, you were just brainwashed to a degree to think badly of his ex-wife.

Also, a lot of brainwashing happens in childhood. Your parents will teach you of political ideology, religion, to like or dislike certain people, and so forth. Even if they don't directly try to teach you something, you are more than likely going to pick up off their beliefs, and imitate them at least to a degree in your life. In which case, you were brainwashed.

The fact there are so many perceptions on reality, that people will so fiercely defend their perception of reality, is evidence in my mind that at very least, the vast-vast-majority of the planet is Brainwashed.

So basically, I'm brainwashed, and you are Brainwashed, along with everybody else on these forums. To a technical degree, at the very possible least.
Which is to also say, that Right and wrong, good and bad are imaginary, and non existent. This is evident also by the fact that we disagree so much, politically.

Speaking of which, I might start a thread on this in the Philosophy section..
And pardon the sloppiness of this post. Didn't get any sleep last night.

Throughout history there have been intelligent people who abandoned reality for idealism, successful men who achieved such status only by ruthless desire, and powerful rulers who have been as dumb as you can possibly get. Why should any of them get the right to tell me what is right and wrong?

It's not their right to tell you what's right and wrong, it's their right to determine for themselves what is right and wrong, rather than be told that they simply sway with the tide. Those people all share one thing though. Drive, or the ability to surround themselves with great men and women. A idiot can be great, if only because he is surrounded by people with drive. If he has the competency to do this, and is willing to recognize his respective shortcomings, and compensate for those, I would argue that he is of a clearer mind than most.

That is actually false RT is the only one saying that. If you want news about Libya and the Arab world I would suggest AJE or for news in general CBC.
