It wouldn't really surprise me if the rebels were committing some atrocities of their own TBH. There seems to be a motive for revenge on the rebels' part.

Why is everyone assuming that the people who are in that video are rebels, I didnt see anything to suggest that.

How Ironic, a rapist accusing Gaddafi of using mass rape. Claims which have been shot down by Amnesty International might I add, who have also found no evidence of that majority of NATO's and the ICC's accusations.

The US Foreign Relations Committee has given President Barack Obama limited authority to continue the US military operation against Libya in Tuesday’s vote. The vote was 14-5 in favor, with the resolution imposing a one-year limit on US intervention and prohibiting the deployment of US ground forces. Last Friday Congress had overwhelmingly rejected a similar resolution.

1 year is still far to long. But at least Obama can not put any ground forces into play now.

are you stupid? all nations in the no fly zone cannot deploy ground forces for combat, and as far as i know only egypt has advisers on the ground for the rebels, not like there's a need to rebels will win ground aid or no ground aid.

You were responding by calling me stupid by me pointing out the fact that Obama has been given limited authority. So yes, you are a retard there is no doubting that.

oh? the limited authority that he has had all this time? the funding of that being voted down in congress and would soon run out therefor ending US operations in the area, but is now being given back to him a on more limited scale? because if that is what you are talking about all that it means is that nothing has changed but the mission will last 1 year. not like it will take that long anyways.

Air superiority gets you nowhere, people win wars, not planes and boats. Anybody with any sense of military sense knows this. With the inability to have troops on the ground NATO has already sealed their fate. And every time the rebels make an advance it is either Libya or NATO that bombs them (Boy I find it hilarious when NATO bombs the rebels.) If the best ground force NATO can muster is an untrained fighting squad against a trained army then they are in for a sore defeat. Many times in history has a single city besieged lasted longer than a year, but at the very least half a country? They could go on for decades.

Well those people use planes and boats to win. Also the rebels are advancing they are near Tripoli as soon as they get in range to launch artillery Tripoli is lost.

Last time I checked they were less than 150km from the capital.

with that i can now tell you that you know nothing about modern warfare. Air superiority can destroy a nations military, look up the first golf war as a great example. we wont need boats, the libyan navy is all but destroyed as off last month with the bombing runs on almost all dock yards that house navy vessels. in modern wars citys do not hold for years.

Edit: also observer is correct, the rebels are less then 100 miles south of Tripoli and there has been very little in their way with most of whats left of the libyan army holding back the troops from the east.

There is a little invention called an AA gun, maybe you have heard of it, I don't know because obviously you are an expert at war, an army destroys these from the ground, where as you can see that this is where NATO's problems are, they do not have a ground force......

The rebels aren't winning the war.
