NATO is a military organization, and a Cold War one at that. Whether in the end they accomplished anything good or bad, they were obviously there just to protect their interest. Since this is a civil war, they shouldn't even be there, but whatever.

I would very much like America if they concentrated on helping out their own people and the economy. They probably would beat China at their own game, but the people in power in Washington get millions and millions from the wars in Afghanistan and Libya.

I won't bet on the Chinese becoming a superpower yet, they got a tons problems to work out, and their people throw away money like nobody business.

Unfortunately, yes. This is how Military Keynesianism works. (Especially when coupled with Corporate Capitalism.)

I am most certainly not anti-America, I just think the are going about it all wrong. They feel like they need to play world police, but no one at this point wants them too. If they focused on their own economy and spread their influence like China does and NOT by war, they would be in a far better position than they are now.

Very much so. Its a shame to see so much opportunity squandered.

China still wants Taiwan and it's unlikely the Taiwanese will give it to China.

Well, to be honest, all the article said were that people who support Gaddafi are scared for their lives and fleeing, with only one person giving an example of Rebel cruelty, and that was against a Gaddafi Soldier. Hell, the article even said "We can not independently verify any of these claims."

And this is supposed to be worse than Gadaffi bombing civilians? Now I dont necessarily agree what I am going to say next but I am going to pretend to be Che for a second. Its for the greater good. A few lives purposely destroyed to overthrow someone who has destroyed more. I dont agree with what I just said but thats how Che's gonna make it out to be from the other way around
