Exactly how, do you figure, you can guarantee Qaddafi's presence in the city? It's not even possible to prove he could have fled into the desert weeks ago. There's also rumors of him fleeing to his home town.

I'll give you this though Che if he actually does go down in a hail of bullets I'll give the tiniest ounce of respect to the man.

Everyone in this thread is jumping to irrational and baseless assumptions about Gaddafi and the War but Che, who is using such silly things as "facts" and "news reports", and then everybody(you) mocks him and shit for whatever reason.

I don't agree with Che, but most people here aren't helping the cause.[/quote:3phllxb9]

I disagree. Most people here are keeping up with the news with several different sources, BBC isn't even being biased they are airing direct interviews with Qaddafi's son and showing Loyalist area's of the city. Do you want us to post the article we are referencing every time we speak? Because Che definitely does that?

CNN isn't that biased as well, Ive been watching them, and they talk about the Loyalists, as well as Saif al Islam who wasn't captured and said he would bring reporters to the "hot spots" not sure what though. But they also talk about how the loyalists can blend back into the society and run a insurgency, and that the rebels have no organization in regards to a democratic change of government.

But what I am wondering is where is Saif, Moammar, Khamis, all the loyalists. Do the Loyalists still hold the Rixos hotel and the media?

But did they ever report the million man marches for Gaddafi? Did they report NATO bombing 33 children and 60+ adult civilians in an area with no military presence?

no because one as we can see now he has far less supporters in Tripoli then was reported, many people in Tripoli have even taken up arms to push out the last of the loyalist hired troops.

NATO released some of Gaddafi's seized assets to the rebels so they can start rebuilding.

I believe Che is confusing support with indifference or fear.

Because the amount of soldiers in the capital could have stopped 1 million people showing him their supports if they somehow turned against him right?

    All smoke and mirrors right?

    1. it wasn't 1 million people! that would have ben 18% of the country and almost exactly the whole city of tripoly
    2. probably more in the couple of 10 thousands, but it doesn't matter how many have ben bought to be there or forced or might ben there out of free will
    3. this has ben reported in the news multiple times so no bias there
    4. the swiftness of the fall of tripolis (although still some areas are held by loyalists) implies no support for the loyalist troops by the masses(the opposite is reported)
    5. do you want some cheese and bread to your wine?

Muammar Gaddafi just addressed who ever will listen on the radio saying he "has vowed death or victory in fight against "aggression""

he also stated that his compound had been leveled by 64 NATO airstrikes, kinda funny since his compound still stands and reporters are doing live reports from it as i type.

According to a rebel senior commander, the rebels have taken the Abu Slim district in Tripoli. If we see this map here, we an see that conquered that district, the loualists are restricted to a very small part of Tripoli.

Using the journalists as shields in the hotel will show how coward Ghaddafi is.

There was infact several air strikes on the compound. It's not as if the whole buildings dust but it is pretty fucked up.
