And the violence in the Middle East continues... apparently Gaddafi is bombing his own people now. It looks like another revolution in the Middle East is inevitable. What do you guys think is gonna happen in Libya after this? All I know is that oil prices are gonna be ridiculous..

Not particularly new news, but newsworthy of course. And where do you think oil prices are going to rise? Certainly not the United States...

yeah after Egipt Lybia and so on. That certanly means nothing good. In Maroco there are protests and it's heating up in Albanya too, so yeah many goverments will fall we certalny know that.

And yes ofcourse will affect economy. Oil prices will go up and materials that are exported from these locations too.

You're right that it isn't 'new news' but it's still going on and chances are there will be a revolution there, and I figured we could discuss new events in this thread.
And I think oil prices will rise because I live in Europe and Libya is a major exporter of oil. You're right about the US though, I don't think it will make much of a difference there.

And you're right to bring it up, I wasn't saying it's not important, and that more people shouldn't be talking about it. And my B for assuming you lived in the US. Yea you Europeans are much more reliant on Middle Eastern oil then we are (which I think in part is why you guys have historically much higher gas prices, although your governments could all be taxing gas more then we do, but I don't think the whole European community would, so it's not really a compelling reason to me).

And this all started in Tunisia I think, not Egypt, interesting to see where this all winds up though.

I think that the countries that have been protesting,Libya Egypt Tusina, should form a new country or at least some sort of union.
