A member of the Paradox forum and me have created this group to help organize the modding community for Darkest Hour! Although, we can expend it to other games as we gain more skilled members. Right now it is simply a place where you can post the idea for a mod. If you have suggestions for our group, tell me on this here thread and I will speak to the group president or implement them myself (me being Vice president of the group and all). Second thread is actual group blog. First is paradox forums announcement thread. http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?584353-Modders-United-Mod-group http://moddersunited.blogspot.com/p/ideas.html
"Vice president"? Stop trying to sound official and interesting. This is the internet. You people are stupid, this idea is stupid. DH is as good as dead and modding for DH never kicked off except for Kaiserreich, which had been involved with the developers of DH before the game was even released. Nobody is going to pay attention to a DH mod. You should listen to ewphoenix123, who posted in your thread, as he has the right idea. You will probably pick up on a completely bizarre and ridiculously complex idea, you're going to work on it, and you're going to get bored and give up on it a week in. As for your modding capabilities, I highly doubt that you have the slightest experience of actually modding. You probably changed a file in notepad in the DH folder and thought that you were 1337 at modding. Modding "groups" are usually composed of a small amount of friends who get bored on weekends and work on mods, they don't go on and on about it and they certainly don't create groups composed of presidents. For examples of stupid people who think they are pr0 m0dd3rs, look at Romulus. He's terrible.
He's tried to make mods twice, making threads for each one, and kept updating them with screenshots of recolored nations every day.
So if I started modding a game and told you guys about it and showed you my pics of how far Ive gotten I automatically consider myself a pro? I dont even consider myself a professional gamer and I game every day.
I dabble in modding every now and then, but I am not pro, once you understand the code its easy, You cant be pro at modding, for the same reason you cant be pro at writing, i admit that my mod plan fucking failed and i am pretty sure I stated that, i only ever made one thread that was for release, i remember asking modding questions for vicky 2 though. BTW that dude toast was talking about was right.
