Well, that's fine, I meant if you were going to start an argument about how Korean war vets are irrelevant or some crap like that, and ignore the rest of what I wrote, then I'd be angry.

Just a note on flag code:
It is not total law. The US has not legal statues against altering a flag: in fact, in the ninetieth century it wasn't uncommon for state militia's to alter their flags to make them stand out. Flag code can be described as proper etiquette, not law. Beyond doing something disrespectful, an American citizen can alter the flag as per his choosing, as long as the 50 stars and 13 stripes are present.

Now, that is an acceptable argument against this, however, this should not completely stop anybody from putting Obama's face on the flag.

You can legally burn the flag after all.

Yes, but flag burning has been a controversy because some see it as defecating the flag, not because of flag code.

I'm not sure if you're saying that it's an argument for or against the ability of putting Obama's face on the flag. I'll assume it's the former?

Well yeah but I was making the point that the flag code really means nothing because you can burn the flag.

It would be enough to say that particular flag is in volation of the flag code, but, Obama's face can be put on any other corner of the flag, provided that all of the stripes are there. It doesn't mention that all of the stripes are supposed to be a specific length now, does it?

Technically yes, but putting a President's face on a flag will probably be considered highly inappropriate, flag code or no.

Well, that's not my fault if some overly patriotic hick wants to do so to symbolize how great of a person he is, and how great his country is.

First, Died 'For' Me? I need no protecting, nor did i ask for them to defend me. They deserve no more respect then anyone else with a job.

And btw, i could care less if you burnt my national flag in front of my face. I'm one of those people who doesn't get offended by burning cloth.

Where is your pride, honor, and nationalism. I would die for my family, my race, and my nation that lets live in safety. Just a cloth you say.....then go burn your own flag in public.
