"The government should be afraid of the people, not the other way around"

We can't ensure a velvet revolution, if shit goes down we need to go down with shit.

Can I make demands? Reinstitution of Glass-Siegal and repeal of the Citizens United ruling and that's really it.

I did mean Steagall but technically speak the rich would hold a lot of power in the county still. Why you ask? Because the people hand it to them, a large amount of senators are millionaires, is this good or bad? Inherently neither but self interest can become part of policy .

I support a net asset cap of no more then double the average americans assets, and a salary/wage cap of no more then double the average american salary.

So you support equal result over equal opportunity.

The whole senator millionaires thing is a yes and no. When you take office, all of your private assets are frozen, so as to prevent too much personal interest in certain areas. Obviously that isn't wholly effective, but technically, while in office senators are paid only a senator salary, nothing more. On a different note, can you explain Glass-Steagall to me, all I know is that it created the FDIC.

Just came back from Rome, and according to some posters I saw they are gonna go out again today at 8:00 pm (Roma time).

Also, the police knows this and has positioned the military police all over the city

It came from the website of one of our biggest, right-wing newspapers. They don't support the Occupation, so I don't see why they would do that, considering they would lose more than they would gain.

Sensationalism crosses all borders. It makes for a better news story if things look violent.

Do you guys think that the "Occupy" movement needs to look more professional? What I mean is, look at the most famous American peaceful protester Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

    1. Well dressed, but not "fashionably" per se.
    [spoiler:kpxj1o0a][IMG][/spoiler:kpxj1o0a]

    2. A leader.

    3. Well organized. (Sound systems, a hierarchy of sorts, etc.)

    4. He and his comrades marched. It is much more aggressive, short, and sweet. It gets people to talk about things now and does not make them get used to the protest.

    5. MLK Slogan: I am a Man. Short, powerful, and it is almost impossible to lampoon the phrase. Occupy Slogan:We are the 99%./This is what Democracy looks like. Come on, I could tear that apart in my sleep.

    To the point:

    This
    [spoiler:kpxj1o0a][IMG][/spoiler:kpxj1o0a]

    Or This:

If you had to choose one...

    2. Fuck leaders.
    3. Fuck hierarchy.
    4. There have been several marches during the protest.
    5. I think the slogan is awesome.

Fact: Shaw likes to say hes a supporter of Right-Wing Libertarianism and Capitalism, but then he goes around sucking the dicks of financial institutions that are subsidized by the government. Calling those who are against said institutions, which includes in Libertarian buddies, "hippies" and showing his support for economic internationalism.

Shaw is either a phony or has no fucking idea what hes talking about and should stick to talking about weed.

GSA set up a regulatory firewall between commercial and investment bank activities, both of which were curbed and controlled. Banks were given a year to decide on whether they would specialize in commercial or in investment banking. Only 10% of commercial banks' total income could stem from securities; however, an exception allowed commercial banks to underwrite government-issued bonds. Financial giants at the time such as JP Morgan and Company, which were seen as part of the problem, were directly targeted and forced to cut their services and, hence, a main source of their income. By creating this barrier, the GSA was aiming to prevent the banks' use of deposits in the case of a failed underwriting job.

    1. No leader means a failure. How are the supposed 299 million people supporting the movement uniformly demand change?
    2. I meant just some kind of organization.
    3. I've never heard of these "marches" so whether or not they happened, the are not reaching the public and are thus ineffective. MLK's marches were very public, very televised, and very powerful, and his movement was a success.
    4. Doesn't matter what you think, people can lampoon it and degrade its actual value to the cause. Point of fact:

Finally, if you want to be successful, don't curse, you sound like a degenerate.
