I would like to conduct a cursory survey of site attitudes on this subject, generally speaking. I'm not going to present any policies or suggestions, I'd just like to see where people stand on the issue.

Please answer concisely and stay on topic.

Defining either side would introduce a measure of bias into the poll. Again, this is meant to assess the attitudes towards this issue, not actual policy.

Could one not argue that this is a "false dichotomy".

Transparency of the staff is overrated. I don't get why so many people are raging for it. This is not Wikipedia, this is a freaking forum!

Effectiveness is certainly more of a necessity, but Transparency would not jeopardize Efficiency.

Don't you think that there is enough transparency as it is? Sure, there is a mod corner, but the whole purpose of mods is to decide rules, and they got to have some privacy.

No, personally I think this forum could stand more transparency.
What about Tribunes? Should we not be able to see how our Tribunes act and decide? Should we not be able to see if they are TRULY following the will of the people?

Of course, and without transparency we never really know.

I think effective bureaucracy is better then transparency, that is the thing not many people trust there politicians, and because of this we get less effective tribunes.
