Why is it that Atheists are always like "SO WHAT YOU HAVE A RELIGION, STOP WAVING IT AROUND" or some shit like that. But they are normally the ones that try their fucking hardest to make it as fucking visible as possible that they are fucking atheist. Fuck it pisses me off so much.

I just hate the people who go around preaching random crap out of the bible saying it's cold hard fact and atheists are Satan's servants.

People believe in religion because they feel they need to believe in something, even though deep down they know its all bullshit. No argument will get anywhere over religion.

Also I am atheist and I rarely talk about religion.

Have to disagree with you there Lenin Cat. Deep down religious people know it's "bullshit"? I certainly do not believe it's bullshit. I think most religious people do not either. Also people can believe in religion for so many reasons.

Of course youll say that, this is not something I can debate, the opinion that I hold is that you feel theres a void in your heart without a belief in god, even though you know its a unproven idea deep down. I cant really debate this.

I don't agree. Just take religious suicide bombers for example, I doubt they think their beliefs are bullshit.

I'm atheist, and i see no proof of existence of a God, so :/

I just think that there are way to many people who take it to.... Far, i guess. I have no problem with people wanting to believe in something that gives them some hope about death and such, but i DO have a problem like Bill O'Reilly, or alot of Tea Party members, or suicide bombers, or other extremists. I have a problem with extremists in religion, no matter what the religion.

But were not the one making a hypothsis, you are.[/quote:1sl31v0f]Actually those who claim that God does not exist are also making an extraordinary claim, and thus are equally subject to the burden of proof. Because there is no possible way to fulfill that burden the default rational position is agnosticism: the belief that we cannot currently (possibly ever) know whether or not God exists.

But science has proven that the world is older than the bible says evelotion is pretty much proven aswell only a few diehard christian (other religons to ;) ) dont aggre with that so we know that we have evolved. so that gives us much moore proof that there is a likely hood that there is no suppernatural being like god or the flying spagheti monster. but we can't be sure that there is no god or unicorns because you cant disprove somthing that dosen't exist or that you cant detect (gota keep the religius happy).

please don't flame me about my spelling and language usage i'm trying to improve I'm even take extra lesons now... sigh

Evolution has nothing to do with the existence of God.

No that wasn't my point. Eveloution destroys the creationism theory in the bible. Of courese you could ask who created the first life forms. then alot of peole jump the gun and scream god/allha/braman etc. then the standard question to that who/what created god. they usaly reply he/she just was there and always has been. If that was the case why couldn't life (living organizms) always have been there aswell. I don't see the point in having this link in between.
