I find it interesting that you've made the decision to be a "socialist" (ignoring the debate surrounding that claim) while not having read/watched anything about capitalism. Sure you are now but this is after you created this whole shit storm about being a "socialist."

Ewgh, Wealth of Nations, I quit at chapter 10, and I assure you, I'm not reading Marx anytime soon. Anyways, Smith is not applicable nowadays, but it's still a nice reading.

Well, I didn't say I didn't read anything. I just didn't read any literature about them. What I have read is a lot of random web pages and stuff. Many of which compare socialism and capitalism in a very unbiased way. Also, I didn't create this shitstorm. First, it wasn't even a shitstorm, it took up two threads and that's it. Second, you do realize Kali was the one that came on and started questioning my political and economic views. I am still a state socialist. I will not change that for any of you, or anyone but myself.

I think that's what I just said I'd do.....why don't you read the OP's definition of state socialism again, maybe this time you'll get it.

I'm not saying that it isn't an ideology. It clearly is. I think that the best course to solving our "debate" (read: ragefest) would be to ask a simple question. What words would you use to describe your political beliefs without using the word socialist/capitalist/fascist. For instance, I believe in unalienable rights that should always be upheld, very limited government, free trade, and a government that serves its people, not the other way around. So, without trying to sound redundant given the last 10 pages, what do you believe without googling anything?

I believe in a world controlled under one flag, with a constitution (guaranteed rights), a democratically elected government, with control of major institutions by the government, allowing for smaller privately owned businesses. Social policies would include free housing (apartments), food (basic), free transportation, free healthcare, and free education (up to your bachelors). These benefits however would only be available to people who have a job (except for transportation, healthcare, and food), if you did not have a job you could apply to be assigned a job by the government with a government controlled institution (taking into account your education). You could leave this government job if you can provide proof you are going to another job in the next two months (government or private). There would be free trade, but it would just be trading within the nation as the nation controls Earth.
