I have a proposition for you guys: We plan to invade Poland and Ukraine in 2 or 3 months. If you allow us to do that, you'll get VIP cards to the victory party.

Sounds nice, but why Poland and Ukraine? Why go all the way across Europe to do that?

    Why not France?

Because the European Championship football isn't in France.

    Aren't they just fun?

I fell off my bike at terminal velocity while going down a hill, my bike split in half, my helmet shattered into a million pieces, and I chipped a tooth.

    Fun times...

Yeah, the Netherlands are way too flat for that to happen.

    So I've heard...

And we don't have any infrastructure to use specifically for bicycles, as far as I know anyway....

Oh, we do have that here...from time to time. It isn't always there, so that's bad.

    What is your favourite meal?

Would you recommend it to a person visiting your country?

Well, the Dutch fried snacks are very good, but the good old fashioned Dutch dishes are very bland and boring. You take some potatoes and some boring vegetable, cook them until a 300 year old without teeth could still eat it without problems, and then get some meat to go with it while pouring gravy on everything. Or, mash everything together.
Yep, if you're going to the Netherlands, stick with the fast food, I recommend Turkish fast food (Doner kebab, durum, "kapsalon".

As for drinks, we have plenty of excellent beers: Hertog Jan, Grolsch and Brand being the better ones, and Amstel, Heineken and Bavaria being absolute piss.

That sounds a hell of a lot like Canadian food, and I'd love to try Dutch beer.

I think that article on kapsalon had a link to poutine as well, which is Canadian, if I'm not mistaken.

And in general, the beer is quite good (if you have the better ones, chilled, of course), although not nearly as good as Belgian beer.
