    I did not read it, I have seen the film. I might read the book sometime, but I know about the experiment.

    Same, I haven't read it but I've seen the film and studied the experiment at school.

    Interesting at the very least, how we are influenced by our group of people in general aswell as in individuality.

    Did a report on the book once and gave a speech. One of my friends got upset [he was Jewish] and ran out of the room crying. Made me feel bad. Otherwise, my teacher gave me full marks for it and tried to get me into an advanced class.

    But why? I guess it's sad that this can happen in real life, even in modern times, but he knew it happened, right?

    I don't recall if I ever told him that it was based on a true story... probably did at some point. He was upset about the connection to the Holocaust I think.
