Well being an ancient astronaut theory believer, I would have to say that I believe aliens visited our Earth in the past and influenced it. That being said, I dont believe all modern UFO sightings.
What makes UFO stories so hilarious is because people actually believe in them. Like religious texts (Yes I went there).
It is impossible for me to believe an alien race would find us interesting enough to travel several thousands -If not millions of lightyears just for the chance to observe us as our race evolves in its cradle. But its always nice living in the beleif that some one or something finds you important, and interesting enough that they want to observe your every move.
Now I'm not going to say that aliens have come to earth, but I do think that there has to be life some where other than earth in the universe. I can't see that only 1 planet out of all the ones in the universe has life, now whether or not it's intelligent life is a hole other idea.
It's an inevitability that there either has been, is or will be other life in the universe. Whether forms of intelligent life will ever make contact. Well, if the universe exists infinitely, then yes, eventually, they will.
If they are lets say a billion years more advanced than us, dont you think they could have mastered space travel tens of millions of years ago?
Well as of right now we consider light to be the fastest moving particle in the universe and as such we say nothing can move faster than 299,999.999 kilometers per second since light moves at speed of 300,000 kilometers per second Now, the lenght of one light-year is 9,460,730,472,580.8 kilometers. Even if an object where to get near the speed of light, it would still take many years for it to cover the lenght of a light-year, and the nearset star is around 4.2 light-years away. But, i am using the physics that are known to us as of right now, so i might be wrong. Who knows what we might discover around a 100 years from now. But i am going to use what leads i have as of right now; to think of what the chances are of an alien race visiting our solar system.
See thats what I'm saying. I think eventually we will be able to discover how to move faster than the speed of light, and or conquer the art of using wormholes. Now a civilization a billion years older than us, in theory (if we are to assume that one day we will be able to figure out how to travel faster than the speed of light) should have mastered this millions of years ago.
Some people insist that because we can't figure out, say, how the pyramids were built, that aliens had to be involved. They don't get that technology didn't evolve on a straight path, that there are simply different methods of doing things. Some of these methods are just lost to us. As for aliens even existing, I agree that it's inevitable life somewhere else exists.
