So the idea came to me, if I did get banned for my political views, would I still be able to attend NKVD events? I mean after all, shouldn't the Coffee House be separate from our clan? So I thought, instead of banning someone from the entire forums for Hate Speech or whatever, we should instead ban them from everything but the Games/NKVD threads. That way they can still work for the Clan but wont be able to "harm" anyone with their "radical beliefs". Of course, if they kept breaking rules in the other threads while on probation they'd be perma-banned from the whole thread. I actually think this is a pretty good idea myself. It also offers a way to, if they prove they have somehow redeemed themselves in the months later they could have a second chance, if Stalin and the People's Assembly/Senate so chose. Which is much better than the Death Penalty of an all-around ban.
Depends on what they were banned for. Need to ask, do we want this kind of person representing the clan? Does Stalin want them to have anything to do with the site or the clan at all? (in the case that Stalin gets rid of the person) What rules did they break and would they be ok still interacting with others on those threads? How many times have they been banned? I say if it's more than twice then they have used up their chances on the 3rd ban. Not saying I am for this but those are my thoughts. It would also be up to the leader of the clan as well.
The concept is, although their views might be a little extreme, it's not like everything is rainbows and lollipops and then Che pops in and the entire TF2 game becomes him bashing NATO. You have to actually bring up the topic for him, or me, or anyone else. And so by banning those/us sorts of people from viewing those threads that "start us up" the root of the problem is removed. That's why I haven't done anything (comparatively) wrong since all those European Imperialism threads disappeared, I haven't had anything to be "racist" about. And yes, it would be up to the NKVD CinC/Division Leader. I don't think Stalin should really have a say, but since I'm never going to get that through, ya sure. Bump: I'm reviving this thread so people actually see the idea.
Unless your political views involve a sadistic Hitlerite movement in which plans to create a genocidal rampage, and they strongly spread propaganda of it around the forums. Right?
