I would like Kara to answer this mostly since he's the biggest whistle-blower about the mods being "corrupt" or "bad".

Kara, can you please fucking EXPLAIN how the mods are "corrupt" or EXPLAIN how the mods are "bad"? Because all you ever do is complain about the mods without stating any real reason(s).

Nah, I would like him to state his reasons PUBLICLY, because I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know.

It's pretty simple, Kara wants damn near no rules. He wants the users to moderate themselves with mods only there for spam bots. He wants mods to have a separate account for any actual moderating. He's against justified bans (especially if they were a part of the NKVD or had anything to do with games), he's against thread locking, he's for forum anarchy. Which if you look at the level of maturity in our anarchy thread, that can give an idea of why that wouldn't work. He is also one of those that wants the mods to be emotionless robots. Anything else is bad in his opinion.

This thread really isn't limited to him. I know there are other claiming that the mods are "corrupt" and are "abusing" their powers. By all means, they should use this thread to clearly detail how exactly are the mods "corrupt", because I fail to see where they are going with their accusations. The only one that has actually been clear with his criticisms has been Link.

Sure, put me up on trial. I can wear my best suit.

But before that, it might be wise for you to actually state what your point or case is. You know, just because.

For the record we have an appeals process on any infraction. Appeals are generally heard by at least 3-5 mods and generate about a page to a page and a half worth of explanation as to why the infraction was just or unjust. For the record the appeals stand at about a 60% overturning rate, and have become crucial to setting the precedents we use to mod by

I urge people to never take Kara seriously. Ever. He always tries to defend people who are blatantly out of line and comes up with retarded alternatives as to what we should do with them. The only reason he wasn't banned a while ago by Stalin was because he was making a mod for Victoria 2. Kara's thoroughly convinced himself that the forum is serious business. So, don't take him seriously.

I havn't claimed direct corruption since like, 2-3 months ago now?

Also, "bad" comes inheritly from the system they've set up. Other than Chelsea and a few others, I have never said something so general as, all mods are evil and shit. I've said stuff like the modship is bad, which refers to the system as a whole.

Anyway, there's a ton of reasons I don't feel like going over right now. Your fault for not paying attention when I recited them LAST time.

Pretty much everything, but Forum Anarchy is a bit extreme, and so is saying that I want mods to be emotionless robots. I want all the mods to be Pedro/Kal, basiclly. And also, if a hard worker does something bad, he should be forgiven, but someone who is both lazy and breaks the rules I wouldn't defend. But you know how it goes, everything gets demonized when I say it.

How is comparing a forum with nearly no rules and users moderating themselves to a forum anarchy a bit extreme? It's exactly what it is.

How is it an extreme comparison?

Well ya, the idea behind Laissez-Faire is that for the most part the users would solve problems themselves.

I'm happy with the current system. I believe there is no precedent for such a system you're proposing Kara.
