For a while, I thought MayoreEmanuel and matt were brothers.

But anyways, I think this is a pretty bad idea considering how many power mongers we have.

Mods shouldn't be an elected position, because they shouldn't be the ones responsible for policy making.

Can't you go be trendy and annoying somewhere else? Like the off topic section?

I agree with Demon, but I'd like to also say that this has nothing to do with libertarianism, and a lot to do with democracy. Mods should moderate, which entails sending out infractions, enforcing rules, deleting spam, etc.

Well realistically we aren't mods as much as we are admins. Our abilities and role is larger than express moderation. Pretty sure the reason we're called mods at all is because the admin group is flagged as founder.

Finally, someone who gets with the program. Except the never elected again part. Maybe something where you can only be elected every other time but there's really no reason to not ever elect people again.

Anyway, I'm glad to see even more people agree with the general voice on my points.

I question demon and link's involvement, and have actually never heard BurGroBro say anything on the matter. But even by you method of counting we are about even so...

Certainly Link agrees with the majority of my points, even if he finds them extreme.
Demondaze surely is, he's simply acting less extreme so 1) He could get elected and 2) He could influence decisions in the People's Assembly.

BurGroBro agrees with most of it. He doesn't post much since he's not super active but if you remember when Che was banned he was the first person to protest it. And from what he's told me in Skype he's like a less extreme version of Link.

It makes us about 2 people ahead. If everyone in my list voted for me I would probably get elected. But you know, divided causes.

As do I, highly. Also Soviet is so wishy-washy I would hardly trust his stance on anything to last. Bur was trolling when he was supporting Che, actually.

Non-sense, Soviet simply acts rashly in isolated incidents that are meaningful to him. You do too, so do most people.

    Ya, that's what happened.

Soviet has outright changed his beliefs several times and claimed that he wasn't actually serious with them and was messing with us about all of it.

This is on this thread, it doesn't sound like Link and Demon are with your ideals.

I have my on system of appointment in mind. (Notice how I said "appoint not "elect"!)

Ya, I didn't read that until after I posted. Link is correct, although I do think having someone to represent Stalin's side (because Stalin is to busy to do it himself) in our forum government is nessissary. Of course, a democratic way to, a 100% vote from Stalin to represent Stalin.

It's a minor, irrelevent difference of opinion. It's not even a disagreement beyond technicality.

Soviet has maintained the same general belief, sure he sometimes changes at a faster rate, but it's nothing to called him a scab on.

Does this mean the bickering will stop?

Edit: Nvm, Im guessing even though people such as demon, link, and me disagree, you will continue to fight to change the mods...
