5-10 more warnings than average makes logical sense because you post more? Uh, no. It takes a ton of double posts to get that and no other person near your amount of posts has. You are the only one in the top 10 post counts that has double posted this much. It has nothing to do with posting more or less, it has to do with people ignoring the rules more or less. Most of us make an effort not to double post, you do not.

I've only double posted twice out of all of my posts, and I corrected them once I realized.

and I fixed your statement, however wrong it may be.

If the average person has 1 to 2 warnings and I have 5-10 times their post count, yes, it does.
Let's take this to the most extreme, I have gotten 200 counts of Double Posting, no a THOUSAND counts of Double Posting. Eliminate a thousand of those double posts, and I'll STILL be in the Top 5.
The 2 people remotly close to me are a mod and someone who is in bed with the mods. Of course they would be the most active to follow rules. Neither really does "compound" posting like I do.

A single warning or a single event at doing it? Grant it, you may not have even known you did it until your infracted for it or sent a PM.

Your post is in vain, the idea has already been "accepted" by the Forum, it is just a matter of the plausability and if it is possible then Double Posting will never be an issue again.

Kara you're being ridiculous. You have to make a conscious effort in order to double post, it doesn't just happen on its own as you post more. And following the rules is not a bad trait.

I find that the double post of accidentally hitting the button twice so that you post twice is acceptable. This is because it is an accident. Posting something different is out of line.

Your idea is being considered, because people like you can't follow simple rules and refuse to try to change. Once again, it doesn't matter what your post count is. You are missing the entire freaking point, everyone else in the top 10 makes an effort not to double post and you do not. THAT is why you have more double posts than anyone else. You are trying to justify breaking the rules when there is really no justification for not attempting to follow something so simple.

Ultimately this installation of the forum is not permanent and therefore, it's not really worth my while looking in to implementing this. On the next forum however, I may well look into it on the next forum but at the moment it isn't a pressing issue.

There is your answer everyone. Not happening here so just try to actually follow the rule on your own.

Poorly worded answer, you can tell I got distracted half way through writing it.

In any case I think it's a good idea I really do, but I think we should wait for the update which I'm hoping isn't too far away.

He said it was a lower priority and would look into implementing it later on the new forum. I think you missed that.

Also, will respond to the walls of text later.

No, I didn't miss it. I said it isn't happening here before we move and it isn't. You misread it. My point still stands that you will have to either control your double posting habits in the meantime or be annoyed by the infractions.
