    Some people did, wast majority of them were not Russians. Germans were taken as liberators, but insted they came as slave masters. Everyone puts their political view and independence aside to work together for better future.

    Then it would be OK, long as Britain was not ruled by some fascist government. I don't think most people in Britain, including my mother and grandparents, care all that much about what the hell happens on the continent.
