Looking to possibly get the game for PC through Steam (for the future mods). The question to any hardware experts here is whether my PC is capable of playing this game decently?

    Specs:
    Windows Vista 32 bit
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 2.33 GHz
    3 GB RAM
    ATI Radeon HD4670 1GB
Resolution 1280x960 (leave it like this on purpose, not native res)

It passes minimum requirements, you definitely won't be able to play at max settings and there may a little lag (might want someone else to back this up).

You'll be able to play the game. It won't run 100% smooth, nor will you be able to turn up all the bells and whistles, but at your resolution with lowered detail, it will run ok. If you wan't to upgrade, change your graphics card first as it's clearly the weak link in your system. A decent replacement will cost you upwards of $110 though.

That site says I exceed the minimum requirements but am way below the recommended. So your verdicts? PC or console (PS3)?

If you want to play with mods, go with PC.

If you want to play with mods the issue is it will likely get really heavy on that processor. You can play on low settings, but I'd say get it for console if your a dirty peasant like that.

    It's a matter of preference.
I think pc would offer a better gameplay experience (mainly for keyboard + mouse), and that, for me, is more important than graphics. But some people really enjoy playing on joypads, so...

Also, I'm prety sure the graphics on pc will be a lot better than those on consoles. So even if you can't run on max settings, I think the difference would not be as much as it seems to be.

Personally I would get it on console. I will be getting it for the PS3 as I do not have a great computer. I would rather experience Skyrim in all it's beautiful glory on console than have it on really low graphics for the possibility of mods.
