    No it was gabrielbgb
But to answer your question if the US lost I think in a way would of had a history similar to Canada we would stay english fight with them in World War I & II from the start but would of became are own countries independent from England at some time just like what happened to the rest of Britian's colonies.

So there would have been some sort if 13 colonies puppet state? I also think we wouldn't have expanded nearly as far West so there would probably be some sort of Spanish influenced nation in the West.

Most likly that would happen because if you think about it the Louisiana purchase was purchased from Napoleon if America was on Great Britain side Napoleon wouldn't have sold us it.

Well speaking of Napoleon, if we lost the revolutionary war, I still think resistance would remain. Then, as the British get caught up in fighting Napoleon, I think a second revolution would spark( right around the time of the War of 1812), and this one would succeed.

I could see that happening. I think it would really depened on how Great Britian would treat the colonies after they won.

The colonists hated Great Britain to begin with...Do you think they would have completely laid down their arms even after officially surrendering? And then with the Napoleonic Wars escalating, Britain would more than likely demand more and more out of the colonies, leading to another outright revolution.

Well I think it would really depened on when they won if they stoped the revolution at the start than maybe not because for the most you had 1/3 of the people for the revolution 1/3 aganist it and 1/3 that didn't care so if Great Britain could get that 1/3 on their side after it ended than maybe they could pervent it from happening again but I agree with you that it most likly would of happened again.

They won because of France. Not even a question.

France helped us a great deal, but we would have eventually one in subsequent revolutions, like one that would have occurred during the Napoleonic Wars.

Well like I said, the British would have demanded more and more from the colonies to support their war effort against Napoleon, and no doubt, Napoleon would be supporting the revolutionaries. The fact that Britainwould more than likely increase taxes drastically as well as place more restrictions to ensure the steady flow of goods, the 1/3 that did not give a fuck would lean towards the revolutionaries cause.

People need to STOP SAYING WE WON BECAUSE OF ONE REASON. We won because of the reasons listed in the OP. Was France a major factor in our vicory? Yes. But France's aid was NOT the SOLE reason we won.

    It's probably a mix of:
    A) The colonies were not a main focus or "prize" at the time.
    B) The French (before their revolution which split the country) supported them
    C) Classic Guerrilla Warfare

And the British really had no idea how to fight a revolution.

Again, refer to the OP. Those are pretty-much all the universally accepted reasons we won.
