Shielding, Is It Possible?

    Meh, maybe i've been watching to much star trek, but I am still curious if anyone here thinks that it would be possible to make a protective shield out of energy or the sorts.
    And no i am not about to rig my tractor for interstellar combat, before lennin can attempt that remark. xD
