Ok other then star trek the first two Stargate show are my favorite scifi shows. Is anyone else a fan?

i love it for the whole way the setting evolved from the start of having a highly experimental operation to it become a fully set up human force in the galaxy. a great thing that almost never happens in shows because they never had that long of a run.

I think I didn't like Atlantis as much because I didn't like the Wraith as a main opponent. SGU I thought was good because it kind of reset the advantage that humanity had over so much of the galaxy, though Lou Diamond Phillips' character was very annoying. Rush was pretty great though.

i thought the Wraith were pretty good as a baddy, with the way they didn't want to enslave you, all they wanted was to farm and eat humans. SGU is just hard to keep up with.

and Atlantis did have more then one main baddy and the lines were changing alot close to the end of the show.

I liked McKay a lot which was probably the biggest redeeming factor of SGA for me, but the rest of the characters were pretty meh. SG-1 was more about the galactic politics and the Earth's role in influencing them while SGA always seemed more about straight up adventure since the only real factions were the Wraith, Replicators, and humans in Atlantis. SG-1 you have the various Goa'uld factions, Jaffa, Tok'ra, Asgard, Ori, etc.

ok i'll agree there the politics on SGA were not really touched on, but i still like it for trying to bring the show back to it's roots of going out and not knowing what on the other side.

Watch SG-1 whenever I can, don't really like Atlantis, haven't put much time into watching SG-U yet, but the two episodes I watched were pretty good.

I liked SG-1 and SG-A.... SG-U is, well, not my kind of thing.
Alltogether though, SG is not my favourite of all time. That would be Babylon 5 ;)

i loved SG1 and SGA but SGU just missed something. it didn't have anyone that fit in there. and unlike SGA it was basically an entirely new cast. and there isn't really a main enemy in SGU, they just float around.

I liked all three... but the transition from SGA to SGU was slightly concerning.

I did have beef with the lack of representation of the other countries and differences in goals though. And where the goals were shown, it was almost resolutely negative. Did love "Disclosure" though.

One thing a fan will notice it that as they created the spin-offs, they became less and less funney. But the increasing CGI was nice.

Loved Teal'c the most. "Indeed." is the answer to life.
    And Jaffa jokes.

I used to follow Stargate Atlantis for a little of the first and second and I think the third season when it went on tv and I loved it. I've also watched a whole ton of random episodes of SG1 in the same channel and it's also awesome. I think I will take time to sit and watch through the whole SG1 series and perhaps also the Atlantis, but it'll probably take a long damn while to do so. SG1 has 10 seasons, each one with over 20 episodes, it's crazy.

I liked SG-1 a lot, but though SG-A was kinda lame. SG-U is actually pretty good, though it was never intended to run as long as the others.

I have the second season of SG-U just inches away from me, but for some reason I cant be bothered to watch it.

But on the other hand, I feel like marathoning the original SG-1 seasons in a row. One day...
