Lets hit this thread up with some history:

Whenever an ancient society has collapsed, guess what the single, recurring theme has been? You guessed it! Climate Change.

EDIT: And that is generally on a smaller scale. Unless we can migrate all of our agriculture to different parts of the world, we are about to get dicked by motherfucking nature.

Fuck it, we need to invent a new kind of transportation. One that's faster than cars but without the airports bullshit, and without using gas!

They use electricity which usually is produced form fossil fuels. Your also very limited in destination choice usually.

So do hybrids, even more so actually. We start with consumption efficiency; getting more out of what we use.

    Not really a problem.

Goddammit guys I was referencing South Park.
And for the record, I do agree that the nation should be connected by maglev, but what about travel within the cities and around the rural and suburban areas?

City and rural transportation is a non issue. Suburbia on the other hand... Well, tbh. Needs to be done away with.

I think I read somewhere that some of the polar ice is regrowing, both above and below sea level, meaning the current calculations aren't accurate or something. As for me, well, we've lived below sea level since the 18th or 19th century or something, and 50 years ago, we started constructing an amazing piece of engineering that keeps us dry, I'm sure we can come up with something else.
