Happy red October to all my comrades on this forum. 94th anniversary of the great socialist red October revolution. I'm having a couple of drinks tonight XD Come comrades, let's celebrate together on this fine day and to honor our great past leaders Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin! LONG LIVE THE OCTOBER REVOLUTION! LONG LIVE THE SOVIET UNION! LONG LIVE COMRADE LENIN! LONG LIVE COMRADE STALIN! WORKERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE! Edit: Mods, i didn't know where to put this topic in, so i kind of guess i would put it here in the political section of the forum. You can move it if this isn't the appropriate place to put it.
You know what this calls for some Music, and i know just the song Doesn't it make you happy when the imperial eagle comes crashing down and the workers overthrow the Czar
all those are dead. lenin died and never even wanted stalin to take power {true story}. Stalin had his "comrades" move his grave in secret from lenin's mosulem to one near the kremlin. USSR died becuase communism failed them...but putin might be your dream dictador "comrade". BTW why do you like the USSR?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collectivism Umm... I don't use 'collectivism' to describe Communism, but I assume [with respects to yourself], that the terms is in some way [as we know, subjectivism is everything] related. From my loose interpretation [which is not that good, since I don't really understand the term completely], I would... agree? I believe [as I noted to you before] that a Communism should never make it compulsitory to be a Communist in the country/region/state/etc. in which it exists, but should not cave to a single [or minority] of individuals who oppose it, but should rather have them exiled [in the politest mannar, with some starter kit to foster good future relations, ideally] from the Communism peacefully. There is no Communism that I can think of [or any other rule based on the people] that could work to its true form through force. Simply put: if they want another system, they are welcome to it; outside of the Communism. Note: This is a rough outline of my beliefs, not in its entirety. On the USSR: It was a commendable attempt, but it fell short rather quickly in my opinion. I maintain it [use their symbols, etc.] as a rough signal for my support of Communism [which it was supposed to be aiming towards], not necessarily in support of the USSR itself.
Soviet Union collapsed because of people running the country and also the cold war didn't help the state either, but this isn't the end of Marxism. It didn't discredit Marx theories of a communist society. The way i look at it from my own views. The Soviet Union was a big fail, yes, but if future socialist states are to come back again, then your going to have to go deep on analysis over why the Soviet Union collapse and why to never again follow the same principles of Soviet socialism (Marxism-Leninism). Like what Karl Marx did when he analysis where the Paris commune went wrong, he come of build from that prespective. So, we need someone that will effectively analysis why the Soviet Union collapse, blah, blah, blah...... I still think socialism is still a big alternative to capitalism, but also i've been touching on revolutionary syndicalism (anarcho-syndicalism) i love the idea, hey i might even convert to that, but i will still advocate to a communist stateless, classless society.
