Dog faces death for attack on cat

Not quite on a par with capitalism and Iran, but I thought it warranted a mention.

A Scottish court has ordered a dog be put down for mauling a cat, which, although left with severe injuries, survived the ordeal.

Now a campaign has arisen for the dog to be spared, arguing that it was just following its natural instincts.

Do you believe the dog should be put down? Personally, I say yes. If a dog can do this to a cat, what's to stop it doing the same thing to a baby or small child?

Animals try to eat other animals all the time but if you raise the kid around the dog it should be friendly. Depending on the breed. And parents shouldn't have their babies or small children around someone else's dog anyways. I don't think it should be put down.

My dogs have killed 5 cats that crawled over from the neighbor's house in the past year
and so far nothing.

I like both cats and dogs but no the dog shouldn't be put to death it was just doing what nature told it to do, tough if it wants to kill my evil cat muffins then let it.

We cant treat a dog on the same morals that we treat human beings. They are dogs. It was a cat. The cat survived. The dog should defniately not be put to death.

Put the dog down with hammers, mutilate it's corpse with cutlery and defecate on it. I hate dogs. Except Tibetan Mastiffs. They are the cooliest.

The cat survived so the dog shouldn't be put down, I've done a lot worse things to cats than this dog.
