Lawyers are the most hated profession after telemarketers so it generally isn't a good job if you want to be liked.

What do you plan on doing instead? Surely you will be something grander than a lawyer.

Don't let Kali's stone cold exterior fool you, he's actually full of love and happiness. Besides, his head is only so far up his ass because there's rainbows up there.

I'm going to be working for Uncle Sam. Maintaining US hegemony until the day I die, preferably.

One argument against capitalism is abuse of human rights and labour rights.

Well seeing that most hard-core proponents of capitalism are often also quite hard-core (rhetorical) proponents of democracy you can quite easyily exploit this contradiction.

Capitalism has fairly little to do with market economies, seeing that you have both market socialism and state capitalism. So what defines capitalism then? Wage labour, capitalism is the economic system based on wage labour. Now wage labour implies the fact that the a majority of people who work in the economy dont own the economic means they work with, thus logically they need to be in the hands of a relatively small part of the population. This then leads to organizational structures that can be described, to use terms used for governements, as a dictatorship. As in the boss commands and the workers obey without having anything to say in the working process. Which then quite regularly leads to things we often associate with dictatorships in governements, power-abuse, corruption, mishandling of rescources and I think you can come up with a few more. So in essence if you do this correctly you can have your opponent trying to defend dictatorships.

Capitalism Doesn't really add or take away freedom likewise with standard of living it depends more on what your government does about social issues. Good job though I hope you go far in your debating career :) .
