That what I find funny about this, before OWS the Republicans are asking where are the jobs? During OWS they say why don't you all get jobs?

It doesnt matter how well off these people are or how they dont work. Its about gross inequality in this country and the world.

So it doesnt matter that people there who get raped are told not to tell the police they were raped? It does not matter that the people who actually are hard-working Americans are kept up late at night by these occupiers? It does not matter that they take craps and pee in front of businesses? If you want to succeed you have to try to succeed. How about they go out and apply for a job at Walmart or something? Start small and work your way up. These people just expect that everything is going to be given to them as long as they stand outside "Main Street" and make loud noises. Thats not how things work brah.

    This is a side issue.
OH NO! SLIGHT INCONVENIENCES! There were much more massive inconveniences in the Egyptian revolution, be glad you don't have that. Also the majority of the Egyptian protesters don't have jobs.

Its as hard as fuck to get a job ANYWHERE right now, ive applied to EVERY FUCKING GAS STATION AND SUPERMARKET I can walk to in under a hour. NONE took me in, at this moment I am lucky, because unlike the vast majority of the world, my father owns a business, which I do work for off the books.

These people don't expect everything, they expect HUMAN DECENCY and MORE EQUAL distribution of power and wealth.

Right then, let's address some issues.
"US REAL AMERICANS blah blah blah......" Fuck you kid. When you graduate for college you'll be just as unemployed as these occupiers, chances are you'll never get a job in the field you studied. I'm willing to bet you'll be angry as well.

You aren't special, you live in the same America as everyone else.

Funny, looks like that Cracked article I posted some time ago actually has some relevance here.

Actually there's a very small chance that he'll be unemployed as a college graduate, or that he won't find work for his degree. Unemployment isn't particularly egregious for college grads, especially compared to the unskilled losers out there.

Dude, this movement is to large and diverse for direct democracy, You have poeple from pretty much every ideology there who won't agree with eatchother on what should be done, you need a leader who can organize and unite the protest, someone who can put forth clear demands. So far it is just a bunch of moaning on how "Wallstreet is evil and the corportations control the goverment". Basically just a bunch of people whining instead of actually stating things they want changed. If you honestly think the movement as it is, is ever going to accomplish anything, then you have no idea how to actually protest.

This movement is organized. Also it would be even harder for everyone to unite around one dude. Fuck leaders.

Going by what Mayor posted: 7%.
May seem like a small number, that is, if you don't take into consideration rate of growth. Back in September the rate was 4.4% as opposed to 2.2% in September 2007. So it basically doubled in a four year period. This isn't good and essentially means that 7% is going to rise. A lot....

No, it really is not organized. To many different ideologies wanting different things is not organizitation. It does not even need to be single leader, it could be like a few elected leaders forming a council or something( although I think a single leader would still be better). You need higher ups that can talk with officialss about what they want done, not just have a mass of people shouting about how bad corporations are.

You assume that unemployment will exponentially grow to infinity; it simply doesn't work that way. We are in a state of economic recovery, not decline.

I'm well aware that growth will decline if action is taken against it.

So it's just all just peachy right? Anyway the point still stands.
Well I don't really think you need a common ideology to agree on something. You can actually work together towards a common goal, even though you disagree on other matters. That's another mentality that the two party system has largely eliminated.
They don't want to elect a leader because they usually feel the guys they elect(like Obama) let them down.(I don't really think he did)

Do I really need to point out why no major power in the world has been run by a direct democracy? Just the logistics of 330,000,000 people (US) voting on every single issue would be a nightmare. What advantages does it give you.
