I just realized this, Call of Duty is a lot like the economic and ideological idea of capitalism. Think about it, people get money to buy stuff and get levels that don't really do anything. People are constantly screwing each-other over for advantages to further their own goals. There is a large group of people that do nothing but bitch about the people at the top (of which I am one). Plus, it is starting to create a breed of superficial greedy d-bags. (no offense to COD fans)
Um... a loose comparison at best. And the theory makes even less sense when you consider that it was based on a Capitalistic system to begin with. That is to say, it is less a metaphor for a Capitalistic system and more an actual Capitalistic system.
That's a silly analogy. Well, it does have Americans vs all of their enemies rounded up into one. You are literally fighting Muslim Communist Russians.
Yeah but it isn't exacly taking a stand, saying "communists, russians and muslims are bad". So no, it's still not political and nobody should ever conceive it as so.
Nonsense. Capitalism allows you to buy fast cars, fine clothes, cushy homes and the hearts of seriously hot chicks. Call of Duty allows you to do none of these things.
So is Communism Battle Field? I think Duke Nukem is the Monarchism because it had a big showing way back when but now no one really likes it.
If Call of Duty's multiplayer system is the capitalist metaphor then isn't Halo's multiplayer the Socialist metaphor as:All players are equal?
Battlefield 1 is probably Anarchism because everyone goes on killing sprees regardless of what team their victims are on and in all practicality, they have no rules to stop them.
