The purpose of this thread is to serve as a discussion area for capitalists of all forms. This thread will cover any topics appropriate for the coffee house. Rules are basically, discuss capitalism. If you aren't Capitalist, then you are wrong. Unlike our more hateful socialist brethren, this thread was not made with the intent of separating socialists and capitalists, because we aren't assholes trying to weed out our enemies. If you are a socialist, feel free to post.I'm not going to start us off with a topic, because fuck it.
Anarchy is shit in this day and age. My opinion on current economics (Capitalism): Its far from perfect, seriously flawed and is falling apart (on individual level) how ever that is best we got. Heavily regulated industry is the way to go. Welfare is also necessary to keep decent standard of living at expense of 3rd & 2nd world countries. (Ironically we still help them)
Anarcho-capitalism is ridiculous. Today, yes. However, if you look back at the history of anarchism you'll see that it's not just "angsty teenagers", for example the Paris Commune and Anarchist Catalonia. American and British "anarchists" are mostly stupid teenagers, but there are serious anarchists in places like Mexico and Greece.
The thing about Anarchy, is that they may work for some small countries and governments. If you were to introduce Anarchy to any large/major country there would not be the necessary rule to keep order.
We said some things about anarchy being just a bunch of teens, however what if an adult is an anarchist what do you say to them. what is the entire anarchist thought and does it lean more to a capitalist economical system or socialist. but yes this has turned more into an anarchy thread, tough its more or less anarcho-capitalism.
If an adult is an anarchst he is a manchild who needs to get a life and stop being a loser. By it's very principle, anarchy is capitalist, and don't let anybody tell you differently. "anarcho-socialism" isn't anarchy at all, despite what a few angsty teens and manchildren might try and tell you. From this point forth we will no longer discuss anarchy by itself. Back to capitalism.
So much fucking fail. That you even call yourself a capitalist while have practically no understanding of capital or property rights only makes the little tangent at the beginning of your post all the more hilarious.
In an Anarchist world there wouldn't be "countries". There would communes, read, small "governments".
Anarchy has a wide variety of supporters such as the philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau and teen skateboarder Matt Gunderson, it's a condition of unfettered personal liberty where people can realize their full potential from stifling authority and bullshit. Critics such as Thomas Hobbes and Matt Gunderson's hard ass father, it's a perilous hell scape where violence ruled, human enterprise was dissipated in chaos and furniture was never moved to the basement despite repeated instructions to move it before you go go skateboarding.
