Yes it does, you can not govern what people are alowed to say or express, if someone wants to be a racist or a biggot, it should be their right to do so as long as it does not turn to violence. The goverment has no right to outlaw any form of speech simply because it hurts people's feelings.

There is alot of documentaries about the church, i find it interesting there views. Yes it is hate speech, and yes it will hurt alot of people but they have every fucking right to do such (tough honestly who wouldn't punch them?)

Is there a good reason to hate african americans though? No, you're not allowed to say "I hate african americans" because then you're basically saying "I hate everybody who is darkskinned because they're dark skinned" and if you give a reason, such as "I hate african americans because they steal alot" you're basically saying "people steal because they are dark skinned". That's really not right is it?

I honestly do not think they have the right to harrass other people, especially with a reason such as race or sexuality. The only thing they are doing by saying these things is being homophobes and racists. In Sweden it is illegal to act upon such reasons, but anyone is allowed to say "I think racism is fine".

Yes in the US. The reason for why it is illegal in Sweden is because first of all we want to fight racism, second of all there have never been a good reason behind racism and that is what the majority of our citizens think is right. There is absolutely no reasoning behind being a racist at all, and saying "it's freedom of speech" is a very poor statement, there is nothing behind it.

Can you give me a good reason for why hating upon reasons such as gender, sexuality racism and so on should be allowed, without just saying it's "freedom of speech" or atleast go deeper into it?

Just because it is bad doesn't mean it should be criminalized. It's speech, and no matter what is said, speech should not be controlled by the government.

It is legal because free speech is subjective. Right and wrong bear no meaning on the words that come out of our mouths, because those words are ours. When they reach others' ears the labels are put on as "racist", "good", and "bad". So what is hateful to one is not hateful to all.

I believe this is relevant: Every person has a right to the safeguard of his dignity, honour and reputation.

Yes unless it involves: race, colour, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, civil status, age except as provided by law, religion, political convictions, language, ethnic or national origin, social condition, a handicap or the use of any means to palliate a handicap.

So they have rights until they state their views?
