Well Great Britain might have if Hitler was not an idiot and decided to go bombing civilian targts instead of continuing to destroy the RAF. So there you have it bombing civilian targets was a mistake by Hitler.

Well if you control the sky you can take out the sea forces with ease. I mean Britain took down the Bismarck with freaking biplanes

Well thats not completly true the biplanes damage the rudder and and the Royal Navy sank her but I get what you mean about how aircraft can overcome a navy ship.

does no one remember Dresden? In Germany if there is even the slightest mention of Hamburg, Dresden, or Essen
there is an automatic silence in remberence of those poor people who died because some general thought it would be a nice idea to kill for no reason at all. if Dresden was never bombed my family would be much larger and even worse i can visit my ancestors because they were incinerated by American "firebombs" and were lost forever, them and thousands of others who werent swastika toting nazis, but people just like you and me who were just trying to live. So do i think its wrong? yes. yes i do

I think, in my opinion, is actually a broader term than what your putting it. rarely do you see terrorist attacks on military installations, it's usually on civilian buildings (i.e. 9/11 for us here), or a strategic civilian bombing where, like in Hiroshima, the goal is to break the civilians to the point where they refuse to fight.

And I do believe that Civilian bombing is a necessary part of WAR. in any other case, i find it in-human and un-natural.

I think it's wrong becouse if nation X declares war on nation Y.They only declare on their government,so the civilians shouldn't be bombed. They are the guys that can't do anything against you if only they join the army of nation Y then you can bomb them.

The other sick thing is some nation is bombing the civilians to have the industrial workers and army cannon fodder killed which is just a sick tactic to use.

It's not right but being right wont always win you wars...you gotta do what you gotta do. Sometimes sacrifices have to be made, although I am completely against civilian bombings.

I wish that the goverment X and Y would just duke it out with their supporters and their staff in big open fields. Just beating each other up.But yah thats not never going to happen since, oh yah we have the ARMY to do that for X, and so has the Y. But bombing civilian targets can be done in on purpose, accident or just collateral damage.
All firebombings and every city bombings were WRONG, even "surgical" strikes on enemy troops are wrong since you cant really see if they are civilians or the army controlled by the goverment Y or X.
Sure its easy to think that some bomber blew up houses housing enemy officials and maybe HQs etc etc, but those houses next to it might held lots of civilians, hiding from the bombs.

The sad thing about WW2 is that most of victims were innocent civilians...

So was Vietnam,Korea and other proxy wars. Sure they might be some cases that the army fought the enemy army, but those days are over since WW1

World's greatest detective. If you really want to sadden somebody with war, you have to find pictures of charred baby corpses. Or something like this:

No. You need pictures of soldiers doing silly stuff to remind you that they are still human.

    For example:

    Wehrmacht snowball fight [IMG]

I don't know what these motherfuckers are doing but I think it's birdwatching
