So this is how your patriots are treated? Smooth move, America.

RT have a bias, yes. But so does every other Capitalist media organization. And yes, they bend the truth, but no more than any American news network. You should treat what they say with a grain of salt, but to say that they outright lie is entirely false. Let's keep at the topic at hand here.

No they outright lie don't trust them, don't trust anything from Russia. They have no credible proof.

Could you present evidence that they lie more than the average news corporation?

I'm going to wait on a more legitimate source. If this is true, it should be all over the place. Also, why were the ashes entrusted to the military in the first place? Usually, the family of the deceased doesn't just leave them with the officials, and they take care of the remains themselves, or in coordination with the military. Seems fishy to me.

Even if this was true though, it wasn't the actions of the U.S. military. They weren't ordering to have them dumped there, that's for sure. At worst, it was a lazy or rogue worker group, and the military is only responsible for failing to track their actions, not the method in which the remains were disposed of.

They have no evidence of anything. They are also run by the Russian government.

RT puts out Anti-Communist/Pro-Putin propaganda too, so I'm well aware that they aren't exactly the pinnacle of honesty. Their style is more to bend the truth, or to not tell the whole story, rather than to outright lie though.

Well, all that's fine and well, but that doesn't stop this story from being almost certainly bullshit.

Trying to get stubborn old Observer to budge isn't really productive, you'd be better off searching for another source and posting it. Worst case scenario is that RT lead you astray and you are wrong. And in that case: Oh well, lesson learned.

I doubt they would simply make this event up. How far the truth differs from their story though, is the variable. I'm starting to agree that it is likely that the ashes were handled by a third party organization, though in which case, It is still a disgusting act.

Admittedly the Daily Mail is an awful right-wing reactionary paper but they wouldn't get this wrong.

By the way I won't rub it in people's faces that their dismissive attitude was proven wrong. This is a horrifying story.

Well RT knows their audience usually people that only go to RT and only trust RT so they can make up things that they know people will believe. I also have a problem with the Daily Mail they also don't state sources.

The story has made it's way to the daily mail. So it's looking quite true right now..

Remains of soldiers are given to there family members. I don't see how the Military has the remains of any soldier.

What's the point of this thread, exactly? I doubt that anyone actually supports what happened here. And yes, RT is complete and utter garbage that should never be trusted with anything.

Most likely unidentifiable remains, who were then cremated, or those of soldiers with no families. At least that is what I would presume.

For a start it took 3 sources for it to be accepted, demonstrating disbelief that something that disrespectful could happen to US soldiers, by their own country.

An equivalent to what you're saying is that most people wouldn't support 9/11, so it's not worth talking about.
