Mexico or France Military Embarassment

So what we learned today is that Mexico sucks at war, the french are better then we thoughts and the British kick the most ass ever.

While we're on the topic of military embarrassment and latin american nations, here's a fun fact.
William Walker, a souther adventurer obsessed with manifest destiny and the expansion of slavery, twice raised private armies and took over latin American nations. First, shortly after the Mexican-American war, he raised an army and invaded north Western Mexico, establishing the republic of Sonora, the Mexicans complained to the American government, who took him back, and put him on a trial, where a jury acquitted him after eight minutes. Next, he took over Nicaragua, establishing himself as president for a while, he was slightly more successful, until the American government decided not to protect him from the hordes of Central American armies at his doorstep, and he was executed.

Kinda badass.

So basically France won more wars than any other nation and Mexico won 3 out of the 5 wars they fought in. Ok folks now we can rest assured that the Italians (as a country) have the biggest military embarrassment.

Well Italy won world war I and world war II

France has won a lot of wars, but it loses the important ones. And it failed to use its continental hegemony effectively during pretty much its entire existence.

As for who has the best military record (aside from the US), I think it's probably the British, and more specifically the English.

I just checked their wars, and most of the US victories were against indian tribes or tiny South American nations. In other wars (like the World Wars), the US stepped in at a later time in the war, and had allies that had done a lot of work already. While in pure percentages, the US has a very high win ratio, but if you look at their enemies, it becomes a lot less impressive.

They won and lost World War II.

Italians lost WW1, Entente won it. That's the reason Mussolini stepped up for the March on Rome, because the Italians did so poorly in WW1 and weren't allowed to pinch territory off Austria-Hungary.

Italians lost WW2 fair and square.

Italy military history is worth shit, 2nd worst only to the Mexicans.

Nobody sucks worse than the Italians. And this is coming from an Italian.

Italians would rather drink wine on the battlefield (if they can find it) then fight.

This is what Americans actually believe.
