Well, it could be interpreted that way I suppose... If you've ever read Eldest by Christopher Paolini (I think that's how it is spelled, too lazy to google it...) I believe something along the lines of what the Elves believe. I believe that the possibility exists for a higher power much like a deity to screw with our lives. However, as I have no proof to affirm that existence, I care little as to what their end goal is. I will not call such a being 'God'. God is far too humanizing a term. Rather, I believe that for everything is a means to an end, and that means, its ends and everything in between is discoverable by science. I do not require spiritual enlightenment, therefore I have no need or want for organized religion, or religion in general. So I suppose my beliefs would be closest to Deism, but lacking in the "deity does not intervene in events," precendent. To me it is quite possible that some higher power likes to mess with our lives... for their own amusement.
Ah, my brother just corrected me... Apparently my views fall more in line with the broad definition of Atheism as it is actually defined, and not modern interpretations of it. If I wanted the modern interpretation, it would be more agnostic than anything else...
My beliefs are simple. Life was created by pure chance and that a core part of our soul will always live on, beginning new journeys while our old lives slowly fade away.
My belief is I'm personally Orthodox Christian, however I don't subscribe to every view of the church and In my experience fundamentalist Christians of any sect are fucking annoying, however the same thing can be said about Fundamentalist anything. Really just don't be a dick and your cool with me (But if your going to be a dick at least be the best dick in the world) That's alot of dick.
. Considering I'm lacking a dick, it will be very difficult for me to be one. However, I tend to keep my religious views quiet unless prompted. I'll try not to be an audacious prick about it. And yeah, Fundamentalists are... -inducing.
I lack the lacking of a dick, so it is very easy for me to be one. I will say my religious views but I'm interested in all since all of them have some good and bad ideas (Even Satanism) but being a prick about a believe is beyond annoying. I can't begging the number of times when I hear Protestants say Catholics aren't Christians but worship the devil pope. Seriously fundamentalist are like those people who obsesses over something so much they have to tell everyone about it and if you don't agree they'll start whining and crying like the little bitches they are.
