XD .. anyway naw this is fuckin silly. Stock market's panicked how irregular. If anything besides a new website making fun of the north koreans comes of this I will be genuinely surprised .

Oh, and Kim Jong-il's propaganda made his death even funnier then it all ready was. Over work? LMAO

What your going by is Imperialism by Colonies, however we don't use that anymore, Now all we do is set up puppet regimes as well as troops everywhere. Imperialism has changed, but is still Imperialism.

Have you even seen a map of the American empire?

There is a difference btween having a military base stationed somewhere and having control of that nation. True we do use our power to influce other nations(don't lie, as history shows, every other nation would do the same if not worse in our position), but having influence and having puppet regimes are two very different things.

It might be the time, but really, I have no idea what you mean with this.

Also, is Iraq really a puppet? The US doesn't directly dictate the country's policies.

How is "American Imperialism" not understandible? Would any country in America's position do otherwise.

The bad thing about Puppets is sometimes when you pull the strings they don't dance.

So I guess it was our secret intention to propose to the Iraqi government to prolong our troop deployment there, and then have them tell us to get out?

Your making total global control out to be a bad thing, that's ridiculous.
Do you think I wanted to turn down Dick Cheney's offer to become king of Iraq?

    Quoting Wikipedia:
If you let go of the strings yourself, you can't expect the puppet to do what you want.

Also, care to explain the sentence I quoted above? It might just be a single word, but when I go through it in my head, it sounds awkward.

Also, CoExIsTeNcE, I've been thinking about this a few times, and it seems to me like it isn't pure Imperialism as in just conquering people who look at you funny. It really wouldn't surprise me that the US really has the best intentions when going to war, however, they seem to be misunderstanding the local population and the diplomatic failures and other mistakes really don't work either. They also seem to think the whole world still loves them, which hardly is the case.

We still mounter, and with a "former" military presence on Iraq there going to do more to appease us then say a nation like Iran would without U.S military soldiers.

    What?

Pure Imperialism like conquer because where evil assholes, I would think no. However we do it for "our" best intentions, however we do try to not be asshole, though sometimes we are. The local populations just does not want to see forighn troops, Now would you on your own soil and home?, even more so when there bombing you.

Now what makes imperialism bad? The average person does not have the knowledge nor the native intelligence needed for governance. Democracy only creates the cult of the average ending the possibly of leaders.
