Purist imperialists shit a brick when thinking about the US. I wouldn't go so far to say, "Best intentions", unless they are best for America, but it isn't comparable to European imperialism.

Ack, nevermind, I was having a brainfart, I guess. Damn, I should get some sleep.

I think there's a US military base around here, and there should be a nuke somewhere as well. We're not a puppet, though. Military presence =/= puppet. The only reason the US was still in Iraq was because there was a lot of violence which they could not yet handle on their own.

Exactly, although the trying not to be assholes is forgotten from time to time. If the foreign troops are there to keep the peace, and keep everything in one piece, I'd be fine with it.

Good now I can respond to your post , Well it is "Theoretically" bad because it disrupts the order of things and makes it so the powerful have control over weaker nations, but Imperialism done by America or done by China, is still Imperialism, not matter if they claim it is or not. (Which is so Ironic for the Chinese)

Democracy has its up and its downs, its up is at least people have a say in the vote. However if it is a corrupt Democracy (Say like DPRC) then well someone like Joseph Kabul is bound to win, or another example of Putin. People who know how to achieve power and get that power, very rarely want to get rid of it. Another disadvantage is that it favors the rich and people backed by Corporations.

Sometimes I would say it better to have an enlighten leader for life, or a Philosophical king.

I always liked the philosoher king idea, an absolute ruler who is incorruptable and works for the people would be the bes,t most efficient form of government, but the downside to that is people who won't let power corrupt are extremly rare, so it's not a practial form of government.

I guess I've been reading too much of Plato's Republic.

But on North Korea, I hope they reply to my e-mail.

It doesnt matter if he remember then, the point is if you can not remember them at a NATIONAL DEBATE, you clearly should not be allowed to have a say if they should exist or not. To top it off, he called social security a ponzi scheme.

He may be a bit dumb, but he is the best this time around, especially with Palin considering another run.

And here's the reaction of a North Korean refugee living in California. Bear in mind people Kim was able to elevate himself to demi-god status, this is the equivalent of Jesus dying in bible belt.

Didn't he say Christians were being discriminated and persecuted in the US? The man clearly has no clue what the hell he's talking about.

And our reaction should be what, grief? I think it takes a more disturbed individual to be saddened by the death of probably the world's most vicious tyrant. I mean sure, death is bad and all, but life isn't infinitely valuable, and death doesn't forgive your actions in life.

We will probably see these scenes on the news on his funeral on the 28th. Pretty crazy, as I'm sure you'll all agree.
