Yeah Jedi religion, I find it highly funny but goes against the purpose of census.

This is like scientology. Some guy wants to make more money so he capitalizes on an idea and turns it into a religion. People who believe in this should be stabbed with a lightsaber in the face.

Scientology is technically a religion and should be respected, however anyone with a brain can tell its all about the money in that one.

Despite it's name, the Jedi religion has little to do with Starwars, and is itself a serious religion. Basically, they believe in following the Jedi philosophy, although they don't worship the star wars universe, or claim it was real, and most of them aren't by any means die hard fans. As their website put it, Star wars gave them a basic structure to base their beliefs off, though Jedi-ism has existed long before episode 4.

Obviously they have discovered the force but have been corrupted by the dark side of their tan.

    LOL.
Just like any Democratic country, the leaderships have no real authority to say no to it. They have no right to say 'yay' or 'nay' on whether it is a ligitimate religion, they simply have to accept it.

I really don't see a problem. It isn't any more ridiculous then any other "legitimate" religion.
