    Fantastic first post.

Eminem is not considered to be one of the best rappers alive. He is not lumped up there with Shakur or motherfuckers like Eazy-E, and I can tell you that for a fact. Rap and rock are not the same. They are no longer about "rebelling against authority", if you're talking about modern rock and rap musicians. I'm sure Detroit was burned onto the map long before Eminem came along. White kids will never have a chance underground. All of Eminem's fans are white. He has changed nothing.

That does not mean he sucks. Having analyzed his songs (English teacher thought it would be fun) it is undeniable to say that he is not one of the greatest recognizable rappers today.

Recognizable, definitely. Nano worded it as "best", which is completely untrue. Popularity ≠ talent.

What, Eminem fell off early on. Now his lyrics are a bunch of meaningless shit that are designed to ilustrate how shit his life is, was and will be. Detroit has bread rappers infinite times better than Eminem. Look up Elzhi, easily the best rapper alive on the planet at the moment. Elmatic, a take on Illmatic by Nas (my favourite album of all time), very nearly reflects it's original's pure genious. After that try to move onto to The Preface, Brag Swag boasts an insane skill when you take into account the flow, beats and lyrics to produce my favourite track on the album. Also, Elzhi is just one of the hundreds of underground rappers in Detroit at the moment. People like J Dilla, RIP, took the Hip-Hop movement in Detroit way further than Eminem ever did. The only Eminem track that even holds any type of connection to Detroit is Beautiful and even then it is only through the video. Guys a faggot and a sell out and his music since his first four albums Infintite (props if you've heard of it), Slim Shady LP, Marshal Mathers LP and The Eminem Show has been, as mentioned at the start, meaningless shit that holds no skill.

How does this make me a hipster. It is my honest opinion. I enjoy listening to his early music but I hate his recent stuff. I am not saying that I dislike popular music. Hell, Jay Z is one of my favourites and I think Kanye West is amazing but Eminem is just shit compared to alot of other rappers, both mainstream and underground.
