I went on youtube today and saw some of the classic Call of Duty hating comments, which can be explained by my usual flawless logic. God I am going to regret this, * Note that MW2 was my least favorite COD game. 1. Unrealistic, Well people not everybody likes realism in the games. If people only gave a shit about realism who would play the Pokemon games? 2. Bad graphics, By comparison yes Battlefield has 10x better graphics but its kinda sad that 1/2 of gamers only care about graphics these days, how do you think MW2 sold so well? And a Game doesnt need good graphics to have fun with it. 3. Little Kids, God I hate the little 8 year olds who play Xboxlive more than anyone else, I admit my voice cracks from time to time but these kids sound like they are god damn 6 years old. Anyhow the only reason they play the game is because Call of Duty is the most popular, if Battlefield was most popular game for past 9 years all the little kids would play that. 4. Noobs, I hate them too. Not the peopple who just got the game I mean people who use noob tubes, 360 no scopes, last stand, the list goes on but you cannot blame a game for its players. 5. SHIT community, Again you cannot blame the game for the audience being total fucking douchebags that will exploit and hack the game. I know there are many more flaws but its christmas eve and almost 10:30, I'm missing out on sleep.
Reason 1 makes no sense. The game is called "Modern Warfare", I think you can expect some more reality from that than from a game that's called "Pocket Monsters". And even though graphics don't matter a lot of the time, what I've seen from MW2 has about the same quality as Star Wars Battlefront, which came out around 2004, I think.
I just bought MW3 today while it was on sale. I haven't played a CoD since WAW, and multiplayer can occasionally be fun with friends. Would I say it's a good series though? Eh, probably not.
I hate CoD games with a passion. They're not innovative at all, and the graphics suck. The quality of the games doesn't only stagnate, it decreases.
You have the support of el Presidente, Benerfe! Activision and Treyarch are Fascist pieces of shit and throw out games using old technology, cutting down their budget for games by the hundred-thousands, and replacing their staff with ones that are more of a douchebag, like the ones you see actually playing CoD, and will abide to anything their superiors say or do and will support it blindly.
Battlefield is also shit. As is every other FPS game that has been released in the last 2 years. I don't mind it though, it keeps the 13 year old boys away from the better games that are being released. Battlefield 3, after a while, turned out to be a major disappointment. I do enjoy seeing BF and CoD fans attacking each other over the internet.
The FPS genre will decline. In fact, MW3 turned out to be much less lucrative than it's predecessors were. That is, in my opinion, a good thing.
I'm not saying EA aren't a piece of shit Fascist company, () I do enjoy BF3 in the FPS genre over most other games. I assure you, when ME3 is released, I'll be playing that much more than BF3. Sadly for me, I am not a PC gamer, if I was, I'd be getting into more RTS, nobody plays C&C3:TW/KW or Red Alert 3, or even Turn Based Strategy like Civilization Revolution on the Xbox anymore. It is true, shitty FPS games dominate consoles, and are used by an addolescent age group most of the time, however, it is still just a game, it is not reflective of your intellectual properties.
