I do, but as I said, the servers are empty, I've nobody to play with, all of the RTS's I've mentioned I have and have played a lot. Command & Conqueror 3: Tiberium Wars and Kanes Wrath Command & Conqueror: Red Alert 3 Civilization: Revolution Which is pretty much all of the good recent RTS's that are multi-platform. Sadly, the only Civ game playable on the Xbox is the one mentioned above, no other.
Yeah, but why play RTS's on a console? Heck, why play any game that isn't an exclusive title on a console?
Knights and Merchants (!), Rise of Nations, Rise of Legends, Age of Empires (the first), Starcraft, Starcraft 2, the whole Total War series, Cossacks, Warcraft 3, shall I continue?
Why play a multi-platform RTS? Why not just play KaM on your PC? He has a PC, otherwise he wouldn't be able to view this page...
Yes, those are all great games, but I can't play them, none of them are on Xbox. I'd love to play SC2 and some Total War games, but I can't, because they're not on xbox. My PC is too old, (7 years old, 3 years older than my Xbox) It has 0.99 GB RAM and 4.00 KHZ. It is rediculous how rapidly PC technology advances, I don't want to put too much money, too much time and too much personal information on the Internet, it's much cheaper owning an Xbox.
Well, at least handhelds have their own niche, consoles are just cheaper and less powerful versions of PC's that make it so games seem horribly outdated on PC, while in reality they're just very badly ported console games.
At least Nintendo tries to innovate their consoles. Mostly with old and tested technology, but they use it. Xbox and Playstation only use new technology years after Nintendo does.
True, and even though I do think the Kinect didn't do too badly, the PlayStation Move has failed horribly, from what I can tell. Nintendo, with the Wii and DS lines, created consoles and games that were purely exclusive. There's hardly any reason to get an Xbox or PlayStation. They have very few exclusives, and the PC exclusives are higher in number and quality. Yes, PCs are more expensive, but you can get a very high standard PC for about 600 euros, which you'll have no problems with for about 5-6 years, and parts aren't too hard to replace. Not to mention you can still use it for daily use.
The reason I sometimes play CoD is because I can. I jump into a game of FFA and go 30 to 10. It's entertainment for me, the mindless art of killing that I have been at since Goldeneye for the N64. Having said that, I vow to you all that I will never pay more than 15 pound that the expansion pack that is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for that is what I paid for Awakening (DA:O Expansion). Having said that, the only reason I play MW 2 is because CoD 4 is hacked to fuck-a-doodle-do, CoD: WaW is shiite and CoD: BO is just "meh". And I blame all of that on the Devs and Activision, making them the worst companies on the planet.
It is decided, I shall take on this glorious task. Now get your sorry ass to the Gaming thread and look for topic called Low spec games (or something to that effect)
I bought BF3 for my Ps3 because frankly, it's the best FPS console game out there in mp, however I never buy FPS games on PC simply because my PC is old and sucks, I prefer the strategy and simulators for it, if any of you guys really want a good multiplayer game FPS for the PC, check out Arma 2, if you don't have the money download the demo (it actualy is a free version of Arma 2, with multiplayer and all, but without the good graphics). However to enjoy it properly you'd need a headset and a community clan to play it properly.
I grew up playing Cod and enjoyed up to Waw but after that it got over the top with killstreaks/emblems too many fucking explosions every minute an airstrike.Black OPs was a total fail.Im only an average player and I was getting 20 kills 10 deaths it got boring.
I got fed up at MW2. Multiplayer of that game was so broken and campaign wasnt anything to boast about, so I abandoned franchise then. COD4 had decent multiplayer, despite its numerous flaws. But the gameplay itself started to get on nerves after a month or two...
I grew up with CoD so I can't say I hate it but it's getting lower in quality. WaW was great especially with zombies. MW 2was the pinnacle of my multiplayer experience. Black Ops, I think was one of the worst multiplayer games but the story was so fucked up it was awesome. MW3 I think is good so far, but I need to play it more.
