You're right it would kill a lot of people but it wouldn't kill everyone. People only have two genes for each characteristic. Because the blond gene is a recessive gene there are not a great amount of people with blond hair. Only the people with two blond genes would successfully get blond hair. But you are right in one factor, it would kill a lot of people.

True, but unless you are going to test everyone you intend to save in order to determine that they do not have any dominant genes of a specfic trait, than it is actually... alot of hassle and paperwork and you could end up killing people that you don't intend to. Just eliminating the dominant half of a blond-hair gene could cause problems.
The point being that it isn't a really good idea.

Subjugate the whole human race under you without them noticing a thing. Install "goverments" that are just and righteous, so that the people will sleep in their overbundance of goodies. If there are some who disagree, then just make them "disappear". Not necessarily kill but rehabiliate them, constant brainwashing,subliminal messages but nothing too showy.
